In my photography, I try to be expressive and symbolic, channeling emotions and creating metaphors, as if it's poetry.
My name is Marina, I'm a maker of visual things – design, photography, video, art.

I've been doing art since early childhood. I happened to go to a school which provided a broad variety of art-related classes – music, dancing, painting, and theatre between maths, and biology. One day my grandpa gave me his old film camera and that's how photography started for me.

In my work, I focus on experience of being a woman, drawing inspiration from both my own life and what other women share with me and online. Men are a part of my photography too – I'm trying to expose their softer side and prefer to go against patriarchal stereotypes of how a man should be depicted.
